POLO LOUNGE SPRAYED WITH VILE HOMOPHOBIC GRAFFITI

One of Glasgow’s most popular LGBT+ venues has had its doors sprayed with the words “Poof’s Out” in a wreckless act of homophobic vandalism.

The Polo Lounge, sitting in the heart of Glasgow’s gay quarter and part of the G1 Group, sees hundreds of clubbers through its doors every weekend.

But vandals have bizarrely sprayed the name of the Austrian rapist “Josef Fritzl” (who kept his daughter locked in his cellar for 24 years) and sectarian groups “ICF” (Inter City Firm) and “UDA” on the main entrance of the nightclub.

An image of the graffiti was circulated on social media and has already seen hundreds of reactions and comments from shocked locals.

Speaking to the Daily Record, a Police Scotland spokesperson said “We can confirm that vandalism to premises on Wilson Street in Glasgow was reported to police shortly after 6.20pm on Tuesday 11th February. Enquiries are ongoing and at an early stage.”

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2935 of 11 February, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
