A new podcast has launched from the charity and campaigning group, Time for Inclusive Education (TIE).
‘TIE Talks” is a weekly podcast featuring topical discussions, guest interviews, as well as items on LGBT history and equality in Scotland.
In 2018, Scotland became the first country in the world to adopt LGBT-inclusive education in all public schools after The Scottish Government accepted in full the proposals championed by the TIE campaign.
Co-Founder of TIE, Jordan Daly, emphasised the importance of having this type of platform in a climate of ‘misinformation’ about LGBT equality:
“We are very excited to be launching the first LGBT-focussed podcast to come from a national organisation here in Scotland and we’re looking forward to exploring the issues affecting the LGBT community in more detail.”
“Recently we have witnessed the deliberate spreading of misinformation in an effort to undermine advancements for LGBT equality – particularly on social media platforms, where meaningful conversations are almost impossible. We hope to address this with the podcast by allowing for more reasoned and nuanced discussion with guests which can tackle the misinformation we constantly see.”
The podcast is available on iTunes, Spotify and iHeartRadio or can be streamed from here: https://www.tiecampaign.co.uk/podcast
