Two Scottish couples will be among the contestants on the second series of MTV’s dating show, ‘True Love or True Lies’, airing tonight at 9pm.
Contestants will fly to a mansion in Malta where they’ll compete for a cash prize by proving their love is the real deal. But they’ll be competing against fake couples, hoping to steal the prize money for themselves.
Charlie and Chloe met at a Glasgow nightclub, but since then Charlie has transitioned from female to male. Meanwhile, Scott and Ryan have been friends since school and started dating 6 years ago. But can either couple be trusted?
They’re just two of the eight couples competing in the series, with the show’s narrator the one and only Eastenders star Danny Dyer. Keeping it in the family, the show is hosted by his daughter, Love Island 2018 winner, Dani.
Queen Vic legend, Danny, said:
“The greatest living voiceover artist is back, and I’m bursting with pride to have my little Dan come along for the ride, she’s a little star.”
The show is similar to ITV’s ‘Love Island’ format and so it made sense to get a former winner to host it! Dani said she was “buzzing” to be working with MTV on the show:
“I honestly thought I had worked out who the lovers and liars were, but I was so shocked when the couples were kicked out every night. It just shows that no one can really tell what true love looks like!”
“I can’t wait to get all my friends and family to play along at home. No one is going to want to miss this. You’ll be hooked!”
The series starts tonight at 9pm on MTV then each night until the finale on November 5th.
