PRIDE EDINBURGH ANNOUNCE 2019 HEADLINER

Scotland’s longest running Pride event has announced former X-Factor judge and singer, Tulisa, will headline their 2019 festival event in the capital city.

Pride Edinburgh returns on Saturday 22nd June and revealed today that Tulisa will take to the main stage as part of her comeback, performing her new single “Daddy”.

Organisers have chosen the theme “This is me” for 2019, in a year marking 50 years since the Stonewall uprising in New York City, widely seen as the moment that started the Pride movement around the world.

A colourful march through the city will end at Bristo Square, with a range of community stalls, food and drink, plus live entertainment on the Manchester Airport  Los Angeles Stage.

Tulisa will be joined by other artists such as Blaze, Marcello Spooks, Jordy, James Hughes, Mary Mac, Sam Callahan and Caitlyn Vanbeck.

A spokesperson for Pride Edinburgh told us:

“We’re so excited for Pride Edinburgh 2019, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Stonewall which really reinstates the history and meaning of Pride.”

We’re the oldest Pride event in Scotland one of the largest free Prides in the UK – for this reason, like every other year, we are looking for ward to welcome pride-goers from all walks of life. Our goal is to truly and authentically celebrate and accommodate diversity We’ll have a trans space, a youth area, a family area and more to really make pride a home for everyone!”
