Saltire Thistle FC have announced a two year deal with the Gallery Bar in Merchant City, Glasgow, which will see them become the club’s primary sponsor.
From November 2017 the club will be sporting the Gallery Bar logo on their kits and working closely with owner Jim Young and his team as we seek to promote LGBT participation in football.
The new partnership agreement has been keenly welcomed by both sides, who are excited by the opportunities to work together over the next two years.
The team will hold a number of events in the Gallery Bar each season, including club fundraisers, as well as engage with new members and supporters. The club have recently launched a Friday night social 5-a-side event, designed for those who want to get involved with the club and meet new people, but not necessarily take part in full competitive football.
Welcoming the new agreement, Ross McClung, Co-Chair of Saltire Thistle, said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to announce the finalisation of this deal. It was very clear from our first meeting that both the Gallery Bar and our club will work well together. This agreement gives the club security and more weight behind our plans to further develop the team over the next few years. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
Gallery Bar owner Jim Young said:
“ As a keen football supporter myself, after being approached by Ross, we both negotiated positively to formalise a sponsorship agreement to mutual benefit. The Gallery shows a lot of live football as a BT Sport subscriber and, together with our LGBT affiliation, this partnership with Saltire Thistle made logical sense to me. Like Ross we look forward to a successful partnership”.
