Tickets for Fife’s first ever Rainbow Gala are now on sale!

Hosted by ex-pat local Drag Queen, Nancy Clench, the event will feature comedy from Hardeep Singh Kohli, live music, an awards ceremony as well as a keynote address from STV Reporter and Fife-born journalist, Alan Jenkins.

Early Bird tickets are available for the November fundraiser for just £11.99 from the Pink Saltire website or Facebook page.

The event aims to bring lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people from the Kingdom of Fife together for a night to celebrate diversity in the region.

The formal gala dinner event will feature entertainment, music, comedy, speakers and the recognition of individuals and groups working hard in Fife for equality, with the new Rainbow Awards.

Organisers, Pink Saltire, hope Fifers will get behind the new event, being held at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline on Friday 25th November.  Funds raised at the Gala will kickstart the plans for Fife Pride after they are split equally with Pink Saltire.  There has been no regular Pride event in Fife for people to celebrate diversity and LGBT life.

FCTPink Saltire were awarded £4,925 by the Celebrate program, from the Big Lottery Fund and have also received support from Fife Charities Trust of £1,000.

Organiser and charity Trustee, Richard McArthur, said:

“We’re really excited about the Rainbow Gala launching in Fife. We know there is a demand for social events for LGBT+ people in the area and we want to have a big celebration of the community – something ‘loud and proud’!”

“The award from the Celebrate Fund and from FCT means we can keep the cost of tickets down so the Gala is accessible for all. We’ve worked hard to get discounted hotel deals and hope people will have an really fun night, while at the same time giving generously for LGBT work in their area.”

Organisers hope local businesses and employers will get behind the charity fundraiser too and are calling on supporters to get in touch. They are looking for volunteers to help with the event as well as prizes and raffle donations to help raise as much money as possible. Supporters can get in touch by emailing:

Early Bird tickets are limited and Standard tickets for the event go on general release from 1st October.
