Meet Mr Jamie Love – recently crowned Mr Gay Scotland 2016!

The model/host/educator/businessman has his eyes firmly set on the Mr Gay Europe title and is asking Scotland to get behind him for the accolade. After taking the Scottish title, Jamie now needs your vote to help see him through a number of challenges in the competition.

Jamie told us, “Being crowned Mr Gay Scotland has been a real honour, especially after the heart breaking events of Orlando in June. This is more important to me now than ever, and it showed me that I need to continue fighting for what I believe in and I think Mr Gay Europe is a great opportunity for me to achieve this.”

Jamie recently hosted the Main Stage at Pride Edinburgh in the Jam House, one of the most successful in the events history. He has also modelled for a number of renowned photographers around the world, as well as brands such as Debenhams, Salsa, Desigual and The Ritz Carlton.

The 10th Mr Gay Europe competition kicks off at Stockholm Pride on July 29th and delegates from across the continent will be competing to be the spokesman for Europe’s gay community, as well as standing up for the right of all LGBTI people.

Event co-founder, Mr Tore Aasheim, told us, “We are looking for an ambassador that will connect with our entire European LGBTI community and someone who will connect with and inspire our LGBTI youth.”  The theme of the competition is ‘Unity through Diversity’ and in 2016 is focussing on “attributes over abs” to capture the imagination of LGBTI people across Europe.

You can vote for Jamie HERE or follow him on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram – just search “Mr Gay Scotland”.

We’ll have an interview with Mr Gay Europe hopeful Jamie, coming up later in July.

Good Luck from all of us at Pink Saltire!
